Slow start. Don't give up on this gentle heroine's quiet story. She's stronger than she knows. We discover Joanna as Joanna discovers Joanna. We also discover JD Salinger. This is an inspiring movie, especially for people who love literature and value kindness. All the way through I thought Joanna would lose who she was but she finds who she is without hurting anyone. This is a story about a poet's journey and a poet's imagination. The dancing scene was truly poetic. Loved the scenes relating to "quiet emotional" and the ending blew me away. This film may encourage even more JD Salinger devotion. It has inspired me to read Joanna Rakoff's book asap.
