What I like about this book is that the author Rick Riordan does a good job of recapping little hints and details of the first book (The Red Pyramid). I also like how Riordan adds in some humor, especially when the world is almost going to end. Riordan also does an extraordinary job writing the book; instead of most novel books that usually possess an essay-like structure, I like how Riordan writes the entire book with characters “recording” their entire story from beginning to end. Riordan also makes the vocabulary and the story easy to understand and is age-appropriate. Riordan also puts lots of historical notes and action in this book. I enjoy history, so that’s what I loved about this book. But even if you don’t really like history too much, then that is okay. It’s okay because most of the history goes on with the plot of the book anyway, and besides, you have lots of action in The Throne of Fire. The action is really thrilling, and I like to keep myself thrilled. To me, the action is what keeps the plot more fun, interesting, and makes readers want to continue reading the book. These are my thoughts on the book and overall I enjoy this book because of all its action, adventure, mythology, humor, and the structure and tone of the book.
