The Bandy Papers in their entirety are worth the read, with 7 volumes in total. Each book offers it's own flavour and commentary, and each is outrageously funny. The first volume, however, is by far the funniest thing I have ever read. Three Cheers for Me starts off slow, but it is the building impression of Bandy that makes the book so terrific when he hits the front lines in WW1. Between my mother and I, we were in tears laughing about Bandy's botched exploits all around Europe. I would thoroughly suggest this series to anyone looking for a story with adventure and comedy that can teach you something new along the way.
