Filmed in Dominique Abel and Fiona Gordon's signature whimsical style, and stars the filmmakers as a small-town Canadian librarian and a strangely seductive, oddly egotistical French vagabond. When Fiona's orderly life is disrupted by a letter of distress from her elderly Aunt Martha who is living in Paris, Fiona hops on the first plane she can and arrives only to discover that Martha has disappeared. In an avalanche of spectacular disasters, she encounters Dom, the affable, but annoying tramp won't leave her alone.

This is a hilarious movie; well done visually, with superb plot line and acting. The comic style of Abel and Gordon is becoming a lost art, and I applaud them for so masterfully keeping this genre alive. Very good!! Five stars!!!!!

I cannot believe how bad this was. Save yourself the time. I started watching it and realized it was brutal. I then continued for a while longer as the scenery in Paris is charming (having been there eleven times) however the scenery faded and it just became more and more ludicrous.

From the pair that made The Fairy, this is a truly French movie, and eye candy for lovers of Paris! This movie is Jerry Lewis (who is possibly more popular in France than here in the USA) and Jacques Tati (Monsieur Hulot) with a side of Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and a few sprinkles of (any movie by) Wes Anderson, Hal Ashby's Harold and Maude, and Fellini's Ginger and Fred. Truly hilarious! Also the cinematography, production design, set dressing, and choreography and stunts are amazing. Must see for amateur filmmakers and comedians!

Funny! The characters come alive through their quirky honesty while poking fun at pretentiousness. Fiona, an expat Canadian, hams up the stereotype light-heartedly. Élégant dance scenes. Great soundtrack.

That was the STUPIDEST movie ever made. I got so irritated watching it I stopped and thought I would give it half a star and post this comment to hopefully save someone else this irritation.

Absolutely 5 Star + performances, screenplay, directing, cinematography!!
Loved the physical humor. Especially loved the beautiful humanity of the characters. Could also be named “Love in Paris”.

Quirky comedy with lots of physical humor. Nonsensical plot keeps the film moving at a good pace. Don't miss the hilarious short Walking on the Wild Side.

Charming film, mostly in English & reminiscent of Charlie Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, Lucy & Ethel, Carol Burnett, and....a clever circus clown (if there such a thing) These two are unique! Timeless humor to appeal to all ages, but preview parts to share with children - it may be too long to hold their attention, and some bits some parents might want to avoid.

"Dear Fiona… After 48 years living in this beautiful city, I still love Paris. But Fiona, they want me to move to an old people's home. They say I can't take care of myself. Ridiculous. I'm only 88. Fiona, help. Love, Martha."

I've always wanted to climb the Eiffel Tower. I don't know why I never did.

Hello, Martha. How… are you?
-Fine and you?
Okay, but there's this mystery at the laundromat. I'm wondering why my socks dis… appear.
...
Au revoir! By the way, Martha didn't say anything about my socks?
