Excellent book for all ages describing a child's experience with not having a mother or a father to bring to a mother's day or father's day party. There are so many reasons why a child would not have the "right" parent at home for the event (due to divorce, adoption, death, work, illness, disability) and the emotional rollercoaster the child and other family members may go through. It also will help children understand that other kids' situations may be different from theirs, or that other children are probably in the same situation as they are. Its good for everyone. I would recommend this book to anyone, including "A Mother for Choco" by Keiko Kasha

Book summary: "Stella brings her two fathers to school to celebrate Mother's Day." Twisted.

Stella has two dads so when it comes time for the special Mother's Day program at school, she doesn't know who to invite. Luckily her classmates offer helpful suggestions for this inclusive mother's day celebration.
