Loved this movie! It is definitely the type of movie that I need to watch more than once.

There is a lot going on and since it is in French with subtitles I sometimes lose some of the meaning because I'm looking at the subtitles and not the picture.

Very minimalist is some ways - you've got to figure some of it out yourself.

Super creative and a little out there but well worth seeing.

A leisurely black and white film in which the characterizations and dialogue all ring true. I use the word "leisurely" but sometimes the film was just plain slow - as in painfully slow almost as though it was waiting for the character(s) to do something to record. Pity because other than that, a little gem from La Belle Province.

The summer after high school graduation may be a period of stress and boredom, especially if one loses one’s minimum wage non-skilled job and has no idea of what to do next except to sleep a lot and fritter away time. Maybe the objective of the film is to make the viewer as bored as the listless Nicole. If that that is the objective, it did the job for me. Luckily I myself had realistic and valuable post high school plans, saving me wasting a post high school summer.

This low-budget film from Quebec was shot in B&W, for reasons I don't understand. The protagonist is a young woman in her twenties, and was given her first credit card which she apparently doesn't know how to use properly. So in a sense you can say it is a coming-of-age kind of film due to her very immature mentality. It is an OK watch. Nothing particularly exciting. In French with subtitles.

100% in agreement with akirakato, the flurry of stars at the bottom of the DVD box notwithstanding

This is a 2014 Canadian drama directed by Stéphane Lafleur.
Nicole’s courtship of a 10-year-old boy is not quite funny.
His voice must have been dubbed with adult one, which has an unnatural tone of voice.
I can't really understand this movie, and think that this is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
It is quite boring.
