Really cute, with an emphasis on family and relationships. I liked the suspense and the twists in the story. Some of the characters were a bit one-dimensional, such as the spoiled rich girl, but others had hidden depths. The ending was surprising, but perfect. Very good.
A fast-paced mystery set in Edwardian England. Fans of Roald Dahl will enjoy this story of neglected Tabitha Crum and her mouse friend, Pemberly, who are invited to the estate of a wealthy countess in search of her heir. Complete with a Wonka-esque mismatched group of quirky children. Great on audio!
really enjoyed this story. faced paced. good mysteries. like the heroine.
This mystery set in historical England, has a lot of action and a variety of characters to love or hate. Grades 5-7
Very fun mystery set in Edwardian England (hooray!) that reads like a cross between The Westing Game and Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. Six kids are invited to the home of a countess for the weekend, since one of them will turn out to be her missing grandchild. Parts of the ending were pretty guessable, but I didn't totally predict how everything would shake out, and the characters and setting are excellent enough to make up for that minor complaint.
