What a delight for Frida fans everywhere! The author is a Mexican-born artist and puppet-maker who has created this beautiful bilingual picture book I discovered in the children's section of the library. Each page tells a different story with its images of our heroine, Frida, accompanied by her pet monkey and other animals.

Beautiful, magical illustrations. Although kids may not really understand the significance of Frida as an artist, they can enter this magical world.

Wonderfully illustrated and simply beautiful language. A satisfying quick read with bright colors and lovely pictures for a large group of preschoolers!

Yuyi Morales creates a magical world where Frida explores, imagines, and creates - breathtaking puppets, illustrations, and cultural notes bring life to sparse, bilingual text. Certain to be a favorite among many.
