This cookbook has lovely lush photographs of the finished recipes. I've only tried one recipe, for salted caramel ice cream. The instructions weren't all that great (if you're a novice, the directions on how to make caramel are really useless), but the finished result was delicious and everything good ice cream should be: silky and flavourful and so rich that only a small portion is required (this is ideal IMO).
This is a good book for inspiration, but it does seem to assume some knowledge in the kitchen.
I must also admit to being puzzled about the title: Kitchen Desserts. Are there other recipe books out for desserts from other rooms in the house? Sitting Room Desserts perhaps? Or Family Room Desserts?....
Also, not all the recipes are for desserts, there are Cakes, Cookies, Ice Creams, Pies & Tarts etc.
