A fine little flick. The lead is a smart-alecky, half-sympathetic precocious young gal who comes to a troubled family to wreak havoc. She's very well played by the gal (Jessica Brown Findlay) in Downton Abbey who married the chauffeur. A very different role indeed--there she was retiring and demure, here she's sexy and provocative--which she plays well.
Sebastian Koch is always worth watching, and Felicity Jones holds her own playing against the far more charming lead, who gets all the good lines and disarms everyone she meets. Well worth watching, though the ending is a bit of a copout. It's designed to make you feel all right about all the messiness, even calamities, that arose through the story.
The settings are idyllic, seaside England, a big house, no social problems in sight, no squalid 21st century Britain to be found. It's all middle-class and prosperous, so unlike the fictions of BBC big-house dramas, but pretty close.

There are all kinds of possible albatrosses in this film, but I found it hard to care.

I enjoyed this film.Interesting plot. A good look at a failing relationship and how it got there near the end. I even sympathized with the main character though she was not a particularly nice person. A good watch.

An interesting tale but somewhat predictable.
