This book kept me looking forward to revealing the culprit. It was where you think you know, but you don't know. Some of the events were a little understated, (spoiler*) such as a gun wound would not have healed in a week. And there is a significant shift of topics, in the beginning everything is about the children and it changes to everything about the marriage/business all while keeping God's plan in mind, granted both topics are in everyday life. Some spots I found choppy and that the heroine cried a lot more than I thought her character would. The romance had good aspects but could have been more detailed. As well it was a rewritten version of the Biblical story of Ester. Overall I enjoyed the light read and will read the rest of the series.
