The writing is so awkward. I'm not sure if I was supposed to end up feeling some empathy for the 50s-era wannabe folks but .. they come across as ill-educated and over-processed. So caricatured that it reminds me of Shatner's Star Trek series, but no half as entertaining or charismatic.
