Baker & Taylor
Sixteen-year-old Suze Simon is a typical high school student except for the fact that she is a "shifter" who can mediate between the living and the dead, and she is in love with a ghost from the nineteenth century.

Twilight is the sixth and final book in the thrilling, romantic Mediator series, from the New York Times bestselling author of the Princess Diaries, Meg Cabot.

Suze has gotten used to ghosts. She's a mediator, after all, and communicating with the dead is all in a day's work. So she certainly never expected to fall in love with one: Jesse, a nineteenth-century hottie.

But when she discovers that she has the power to determine who becomes a ghost in the first place, Suze begins to freak. It means she can alter the course of history...and prevent Jesse's murder, keeping him from ever becoming a ghost—and from ever meeting Suze. Will Jesse choose to live without her, or die to love her?

Don't miss the delightfully funny supernatural Mediator series, from New York Times bestselling author Meg Cabot.

& Taylor

When her relationship with Jesse the ghost is challenged by Paul, a living guy in love, Suze finds her dilemma quite difficult as she considers her feelings for the two boys and doesn’t know what will happen when Jesse is forced into making the decision of going into the Great Beyond for the sake of both of them. I stumbled across this book on Axis360 when looking for a YA Romance to read. I did not realize it was part of a series until after I finished reading it. I really didn't enjoy it, and had to push myself to finish. I didn't find the characters very likable, or believable. The writing was just okay, and occasionally I was jarred out of the book by the main character, Suze, using a word that I would have looked up in a dictionary. It just didn't seem to fit her character otherwise. Since finishing, I have read reviews from devout readers of the series saying this is the best one yet. If that's the case, I'll pass on the others.
