Enjoyed the scenery of the film. Learned a lot from the history of Wales and how strong the union is there. Never knew that Wales was such a huge economical driver at one time with all of its copper and coal. Also, did not know that Wales was a huge driving force in the bronze age which came after the stone age. During the film I could relate to some of the information given as I could compare it to the fictitious movie Braveheart. The educational production also revealed the difference in the attitude between the rich and the lower class and how one tycon believed he could crush the union by forcing a strike and instead of being a two week strike it turned out to be one of the longest strikes in history. I enjoyed the dvd's except near the end it seem to be reputitious and I started to loose interest. Worth a watch.

I was expecting more from a 6 hr special on Whales. This is more a political and economic history of Whales. I was hoping for more about the peoples, culture and the land of Whales and not just historical events. Like all BBC productions, it does a good job and the CGI does add a nice effect to the telling.
