One of the biggest on screen accidents ever. Unthinkable? Not really, torturers have been receiving training for decades from American experts, just ask Chomsky. This dud was merely unwatchable. Especially the ending.

Fascinating perspective from a moral/ethical ground.

Definitely not for the squeamish!
This is more a psychological thriller than an action film. Samuel Jackson asks the question, how far are you
willing to go to save millions of
lives.

Fair - Unthinkable (2010) 97 min. How far would one be justified in retrieving information that could save thousands of lives? That's the question posed in this film. Unfortunately, the counter-terrorist ideology is portrayed by a sadistic lunatic (played by Samuel L. Jackson) and it's clear that the viewer would always resist his methods. The anti-torture stance is taken by Carrie-Anne Moss (from the Matrix) who argues to fellow FBI agents about refraining from this sort of behavior. Though the film does become ridiculous and unbelievable at times, it does provide the tension and thrills to entertain for the time allotted.

Nasty characters deliver a tedious moralistic rehash of all the usual ends-versus-means questions concerning how society deals with terrorists.

Interesting idea but not strong enough to carry it off effectively.
