This is a very helpful guide to learning about manga, manhwa, and manhua, espacially for beginners to the type of book. There are reviews (including age ratings) for popular manga and anime series. It is better that Manga: The Complete Guide because this one is more updated (Manga: The Complete Guide was published in 2007, and since then, lots of other manga has been released in English).
