I don't even know what to think of this book. It had so much potential that was lost in the authors writing. I was intrigued by the plot but the book never captivated me

Overall not a great book. I like the idea with the seven messages and everything, but I think so much more could have been done with it! The climax just wasn't exciting enough. There were no twists or turns and nothing really suspenseful happened. The ending wasn't great either.

This book was an okay read but it didn't meet my expectations. The beginning started out great with the suspense and originality but the ending was terrible! The author built the plot upwards to a point where the ending was just not good enough.

This was a very good book about a 15 year old girl living in New York City who discovers 7 unheard messages on her mother's phone a year after her mother has passed away from being hit by a taxi. The girl makes it her mission to learn more about her mother's death and uncover the truth beneath it all. Along the way the girl meets a charming 16 year old boy that ends up playing a bigger part in her life than she had ever imagined! Definitely a summer must-read! Well written by Stewart Lewis!

I really liked this book! Even though it was kind of sad, it was really interesting to read. I couldn't put it down!

A cute, short read. When I got to the end I flipped the page and there was nothing written. I said aloud, "... That's it?" I wasn't prepared for it to end.

(From Stewart Lewis' website)

"It's been a year since Luna's mother, the fashion-model wife of a successful film director, was hit and killed by a taxi in the East Village. Luna, her father, and her little brother, Tile, are still struggling with grief. But when Luna goes to clean out her mother's old studio, she's stunned to find her mom's cell phone there--charged and with seven unheard messages. As Luna begins to listen to them, she learns more about her mother's secret life than she ever wanted to know . . . and she comes to realize that the tidy tale she's been told about her mother's death may not be the whole truth. Enlisting the help of her dreamy neighbor, Oliver, Luna begins to piece together the events leading up to her mother’s death and the people around her who may have kept deeper secrets than she would have liked. As Luna begins to question the society she lives in, she creates a medium for the hurt and the pain by taking photographs of her everyday world. Through these frames she is better able to understand that who we are at face value doesn’t make up the entire composition of the photograph. And that sometimes the answer isn’t always what we’re searching for."

I get up to leave and he holds out his arms. I let him hug me, because everyone makes mistakes, and because sometimes people just need each other, no matter how screwed up a situation is.
