Book News
In this work exploring public attitudes toward the British Crown in Canada, Canadian journalist Fraser hopes to halt the process of dismantling the role of Crown or the significance of royalty in Canada. He seeks to show that the Crown gives definition and continuity to Canada and puts it on a special historical pathway that has protected the Canada constitutionally over a long period of time. The book includes b&w historical photos and color contemporary photos of recent members of royal family. Some parts of the book have appeared in different form in past issues of Saturday Night magazine and in other publications where the author worked r egularly. Fraser is affiliated with the University of Toronto. Annotation ©2012 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
