Although this book is meant for the young crowd I too have found this story quite charming. Would make a great animation film.

What a wonderful story! This is a suprisingly well written story about a rat who befriends a human who befriends this rat. :) I am a 30-something mom, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A nice light read. It had such a warm element with a touching finish... so well done that I am searching for more books by this author. That she could make a rat ~ Walter ~ so endearing to the reader... Wow! :)
