Bumped is the story of Melody, a typical high school girl living in a dystopian society where a Virus has made all people over the age of 18 barren (unable to have kids). The government decides to pay teenage girls and boys to "bump", as in, pay to have kids. Melody has a contract to "bump" for a family, but she (at the beginning) is not pregnant. Melody finds out that she has a twin named Harmony, who has lived her entire life in Goodside, a church-oriented, somewhat Amish-resembling society. Harmony comes to see Melody, trying to convert her. In Goodside, they believing that getting pregnant for profit is a sin. This book chronicles Melody and Harmony's journey...their sister journey, boys, and a lot of other adventures. This book is good, though a bit confusing, at times.
