Falling in love for the first time had been hard enough. But when the girl you like turns out to be ceramic and cracks to pieces before your eyes-- well, it gives "breaking your heart" a new meaning.

Add a CommentWhat I like about this book is that the author Rick Riordan does a good job of recapping little hints and details of the first book (The Red Pyramid). I also like how Riordan adds in some humor, especially when the world is almost going to end. Riordan also does an extraordinary job writing the book; instead of most novel books that usually possess an essay-like structure, I like how Riordan writes the entire book with characters “recording” their entire story from beginning to end. Riordan also makes the vocabulary and the story easy to understand and is age-appropriate.
Riordan also puts lots of historical notes and action in this book. I enjoy history, so that’s what I loved about this book. But even if you don’t really like history too much, then that is okay. It’s okay because most of the history goes on with the plot of the book anyway, and besides, you have lots of action in The Throne of Fire. The action is really thrilling, and I like to keep myself thrilled. To me, the action is what keeps the plot more fun, interesting, and makes readers want to continue reading the book. These are my thoughts on the book and overall I enjoy this book because of all its action, adventure, mythology, humor, and the structure and tone of the book.
This book is an amazing continuation of the series. Don't wait. Read it now.
I loved this book because it had times like when set god of evil stopped Vlad from chasing Carter and Sadie and there were times were the story got super sad like the time that the moon god took Bes the dwarf god's soul.
Book 2
Rick Riordan is one of my favorite authors and I have read all of his book that have come out, and I’m looking forward to the books coming out in 2019. Not one of my favorite books but still a good and intense book.
Felt a little long-winded for me. The Riordan magic finally comes in when Ra comes into the picture, and then it falls into long-winded for me again... It is a good title; it just didn't quite deliver what delights me about reading this author. I am looking forward to the last book in the series.
extremely good recomend it (weasel cookies are inside)
:D
I loved this book
"The Throne of Fire" was a little disappointing as it isn't quite as good as the first book "The Red Pyramid", but I still enjoyed it. Anyone interested in Ancient Egyptian mythology would love this book because of its link to the present. One thing I liked about this book is that there isn't a long droning list of characters like some of the other books I have read. Although this isn't my favourite book I would still recommend this book to readers looking for a compelling story this summer.
The 1st is The Red Pyramid, and the 2nd is The Throne Of Fire, and the 3rd is The Serpent's Shadow.
