The main film about the production of the play was decent enough and edifying (one of the first things they sort out is where everyone is going to stand), but the rest really drags; three hours of interviews is too much.

I don't know what to call this project ... it had the production value of some bad home movies. Bad execution! What a shame! The interviews with Derek Jacobi and Kenneth Branagh on the 1st disc were fine. I was expecting more film of the performances. The 2nd disc was a hodge-podge of extended interviews with the actors, very long boring footage of notes to the actors following a rehearsal which got very technical, and the after party. The one scene when they were acting the portion of the play including Hamlet's soliloquy the sound failed so you could barely hear Branagh.
