At the height of WWII, brave British women risk their lives as secret agents in occupied France. Now an experienced operative, Liz Grainger (Kate Buffery, Trial & Retribution) is working in the London home office under the direction of Colonel James 'Cad' Cadogan (Julian Glover, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). Desperately needed recruits join the team, but they bring troubles of their own. Vivien (Lynn Farleigh, Pride and Prejudice) carries a secret that may compromise her judgment, while Emily (Jane Snowden, All Passion Spent) is a skilled radio operator but dangerously raw at the spy game. How will they fare in France, where even the smallest mistake can prove fatal?

Acorn Media Gem for a well written script and an equally good cast. I am always amazed at the great sacrifices so many made during World War II. Willing to risk their lives, possibly never seeing their families again or the terrible torture by the Nazi's. We shouldn't forget our fathers and mothers sacrifices!

Compared with Series 1, which was mesmerizing, Series 2 was less believable and almost seemed campy, as though written by a different person who wasn't quite up to the job. Still good entertainment though.

An excellent series based on Nancy Wake's autobiography "The White Mouse", in fact some of the dialogue is taken directly from her book. Not the show for those looking for lots of car chases and shootouts.

Very soapy. Not much action. Little by way of spycraft or histiory. That "basd on real life storys" is a real stretch !
