What's not to like about a story about an archaeologist in the Shetland Islands, read by a pro like Gordon Griffin? Plenty, it seems.
How this one ever made it into print in its current form is difficult to understand.
Half-way through I found myself rooting for the murderer to put almost all of the characters in this unhappy tale out of their misery . . . at that point I realised that all was lost.
