I'll begin with Lucy. She is definitely first on the list. You can't believe how it feels to be in the cafeteria and turn around and there she is staring at me like I'm some disgusting bug or vermin. Does she really think I WANT to be this way? I hate you, Lucy. I really hate you. You are my #1 pick. I wish you were dead.

The day after anonymous blogger Str-S-d wishes the popular girl would die, Lucy vanishes. The students of Soundview High are scared and worried. Especially frightened and wracked with guilt is Madison Archer, Lucy's friend and the last person to see her the night she disappeared. As days pass with no sign of the missing girl, even the attention of Tyler, an attractive new student, is not enough to distract Madison from her growing sense of foreboding. When two more popular students disappear after their names are mentioned on Str-S-d's blog, the residents of Soundview panic. Meanwhile, Madison receives anonymous notes warning that she could be next. Desperate to solve the mystery before anyone else disappears, Madison turns to Tyler, but can she trust him when it becomes clear that he knows more than he's sharing? The clock is ticking. Madison must uncover the truth behind the mysterious disappearances . . . before her name appears in Str-S-d's blog.

In the spirit of stories like I Know What You Did Last Summer, Todd Strasser updates the teen thriller for the techno age with Wish You Were Dead.

Killer was hard to spot, but it wasn't surprising when it was revealed. A little short, (I read it in a day) but I'm generally a fast reader. I think this book would be good for grades 5/6 and up-ish.

Good plot, but poorly written and carried out. When big discoveries or turning points were revealed, it was so anticlimactic and un-suspenseful. I never got those chills you got from reading thrillers. Characters never had any real dimension, and were boring. While it was a quick and easy read I would definitely NOT recommend to anyone.

A pretty average thriller. Didn't enjoy the excerpts of the blog or the villains inner monologues. Felt they distracted from Madison's story. Thought the killer was pretty obvious about three chapters before the reveal. For a younger audience I think.

This book kept me on my toes and I loved every second of it. But it did get a little drone out towards the end. The killer was not on my list of suspects.

I absolutely loved this book! I normally don't like suspenseful books, but this book is the exception! It's creepy and it will keep you on your toes! This book is a must read!

I really enjoyed this book, and it was thrilling until the very end. You won't be able to put down this book! :D

This was one of the worst mysteries I have ever read. Suspenseful at tiimes, the characters were flat and static and took away greatly from the potential of the story.

This book was fantastic!!! I couldn't put it down and read it in only one day. Todd Strasser does a great job with all of his characters!
