The movie “Alice in Wonderland” is absolutely the worst movie I have ever seen, everything about this movie is horrible. The animation of this movie was alright, but at times during the movie it did seem a bit fake. The only positive thing about “Alice in Wonderland” is the quality, the characters and backgrounds were very clear. This movie included a variety of bright colours throughout the movie, although it also included a few dark colours to emphasize sadness .It was much different than the original movie, I personally believe that the original movie was much better than this version. “Alice in Wonderland” is basically about Alice’s return to Wonderland. The ending of this movie was terrible just like the rest of the movie, “Alice in Wonderland” has a happy ending although it was seemed very fake and very childish. The mood and emotion of this movie were horrible and did not seem realistic. However, little children really enjoyed this movie despite how terrible it was. “Alice in Wonderland” is a disgrace to all Disney lovers. Rating 2/5.

This new movie take on the original classic by the same name, brings former lovers back to this amazing and whimsical storyline. Alice is older now and has completely forgotten about the mystical world that she visited as a child. However, after chasing a white rabbit down the rabbit hole, Alice finds herself back in the world that she once knew. This time, she must stop the Red Queen from taking over the land and rescue some familiar faces. This live-action film has a nice rendition of the classic tale and adds a modern spin to it all. Some moments were lackluster and darker than the original, however, it was an enjoyable film overall. I would rate this movie 4/5 stars and recommend it to lovers of the original story and movie.

It's really an art-exhibition, not a film. The dark grimness and bright colors are a bit over the top and confusing. You lose control of the story and it ruins the Disney feel. Tim Burton's adaptation is unique, but lacks story and character development.

Excellent reimagining of the classic tale.

Good movie based off a book. For a whole lineup of my favorite movies based on books visit my list.

Like the dangling of a pair of shiny keys smothered in CGI, this film takes a classic story and confuses it with silly dancing and crazy costumes, substituting genuine eccentricity for the equivalence of Ronald McDonald with a top-hat. Not the best adaptation, but acceptable for its flashy spectacle (but NOT its storyline). For children, it's perfectly fine, but I don't recommend it for adults.

Fun, quirky film with an excellent score by Danny Elfman. Truly, Helena Bonham Carter as the neurotic Queen makes this movie for me -- love her!

An enjoyable movie and some great special effects. I found that Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Jennifer Todd all had great performances. Anne Hathaway's character/performance was a little less interesting and I struggled to try and understand if this was the character she was trying to be or if she really couldn't care less about what was going on around her.

"I never did quite get the book, ... mostly because they had no discernable storyline- no organization or order. So it was great that Tim Burton put an actual storyline to this movie."
I think this reviewer missed the point. For most people AIW is a holiday from logic, from relentless plodding plots [from A to B, boringly].
Otherwise: a real pastiche, the parts don't really work together. But some of the parts are great: i loved the Red Queen and Cheshire Cat.
But Alice was the Wrong Alice [but must admit, who would be the Right one? - it'd be like recasting Casablanca]. And the White Queen.... shudder.
The grit was nice after Disneys saccharin version, and you may prefer stereotyped plotlines.
Anyway, the best way to enjoy this movie is to think of it as an inspired-by movie, not an AIW per se. See it; it's original alright.

They call it '' Alice in Wonderland '' but its really all about the Mad-Hatter.

But great movie though! Iv'e always loved the Alice in Wonderland story. Its my style ; )

But for those who don't know, the sequel ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS WILL SOON BE HITTING THEATERS EVERYWHERE 2016............

"Six impossible things, count them Alice. One there is a potion that can make you shrink. two, there is a cake that can make you grow. three, animals can talk. four, cats can disappear. five, there is a place called wonderland. six, I can slay the jabberwocky!"
