America from an outsider's eyes, and a nice social film on a mental "disability". Despite seeming undecided on which of several stories deserved to be the actual ending, a very interesting and well-executed film. SRK just keeps getting better since he started pursuing more serious roles. I don't say more since others have already done so below; it's all true.

Awesome movie

Good acting. The story goes at a nice pace. It's more than love story though - it has the timeless measure of how love and belief is stronger than hatred.
I would rate PG13 simply because of a few scenes which deal with racist violents. Khan cannot be put into any stereotypical box - He has his own unique way.

Great movie! As I am Caucasian, I had to rely on the English subtitles, but I loved it. The story is fine, the acting, fine, and I felt good after it was over. Highly recommend, especially if you like Indian movies, as I do, and the amazing Indian food, and the music. It was interesting to see the Muslim faith up close, shown as a peaceful religion, while showing one bad Muslim inciting other Muslims to consider becoming bad as well, and the peaceful Muslim seeing that as evil and trying to stop it.

It is rare to see a movie on this subject matter: the impact of the post 9/11 backlash against Muslims on the vast majority of nonviolent Muslim families. The film is iconic in that its protagonist is developmentally challenged {he has Asperger's}. He marries a Hindu with a child. And it is inspirational in that Khan's philosophy of life is love, not hatred--values that lead him to help a Southern black town of holy rollers deal with a flood from a bad storm. We find redemption for our society in Khan's example. A wonderful little gem of a film.

The spoken languages in the movie about one-third English, one-third Urdu and one-third Hindi. The closed-captions for the English language dialogue are large, white letter, fairly sharp and are easily readable. The [English language] subtitles for the Urdu and Hindi dialogue are tiny, fuzzy white letter (and are frequently very hard-to-read, especially when the screen image is light in value. Sometimes they're in italics, making them even harder-to-read. They also show up and vanish VERY QUICKLY, so bring binoculars and try not to blink). This viewer had to sit about 2 feet in front of my large monitor to read them; so good luck. Sitting so close was vision - eyesight - headache inducing; it didn't help that the movie is excruciatingly long. Beyond the very poorly designed subtitles for the non-English language, a good film (if again, excruciatingly long).

This is the story of an Indian man who has Asperger's syndrome ; his journey through love and life and his unique way of seeing the world.
The 161 minutes of the film go by quickly , but get the kleenex and prepare to cry...just a little.

Violence: A scene clearly showing the beating to death of a young boy , racial psychological violence , torture in a government holding cell and the impact of mother nature could be upseting to some

There are only two kinds of people. People who do good things and people who do bad things. Only two kinds of people , nothing more.
