Very interesting movie. I think it was a very realistic portrayal of British women who married Canadian soldiers. They must have had a very difficult time leaving their homeland and everyone they knew to make a new life in Canada. I liked how the mother-in-law gradually accepted her daughter-in-law. The resentment she showed during the beginning of their relationship is understandable because of the difficulties the mother and sister endured during the war with limited income and very limited job resources. Worth watching! I gave it 4 stars out of 5.

Lovely movie! I think this movie was probably a very accurate depiction of the real experiences of many of our war brides. Very human and real. Good acting.
