THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER—NOW AN EYE-POPPING GRAPHIC NOVEL OF MANNERS, MORALS, AND BRAIN-EATING MAYHEM

It is known as “the strange plague,” and its unfortunate victims are referred to only as “unmentionables” or “dreadfuls.” All over England, the dead are rising again, and now even the daughters of Britain’s best families must devote their lives to mastering the deadly arts. Elizabeth Bennet is a fearsome warrior whose ability with a sword is matched only by her quick wit and even sharper tongue. But she faces her most formidable foe yet in the haughty, conceited, and somehow strangely attractive Mr. Darcy. As the two lovers meet in the ballroom and on the battlefield, they’ll soon learn that nothing—not even bands of ninjas, hordes of flesh-eating zombies, or disapproving aunts—can stop true love.

Baker & Taylor
As a mysterious plague falls upon the village of Meryton and zombies start rising from the dead, Elizabeth Bennett is determined to destroy the evil menace, but becomes distracted by the arrival of the dashing and arrogant Mr. Darcy.

Exceptionally nice art. I gave 3 stars only because of the art. The story is incomprehensible & ridiculous, I guess it might be better if I'd read the book it's based on. But I think the artist should have just hired a writer & did their own story.

Pretty ridiculous, stick to the amazing "Walking Dead".

Didnt like it at all myself. Boring storyline, bad art (you couldn't tell who was who half the time). But then I was never really into the original pride and prejudice.

This one caught me by surprise because I did not expect to read a story that involved Victorian England with zombies! It has an interesting kick of originality there which kept my interest until about midway. What killed the overall book for me was the fact that the topic of marriages and fighting zombies became far too monotonous. In addition, I grew tired or reading aristocratic British that the words fell away from me. I was no longer engrossed and caring for any of the characters.

Simply brilliant. The illustrations make it a little hard to read from time to time. I Read both the book also and it's equally as good. I can't wait for the movie to finally be made.

An interesting mash-up, but a bit too gory for my liking. Well-drawn and the story is well adapted to the zombies. Actually, some of the storyline works better with zombies in it! On the whole, I still prefer the original.

The illustrations were the one of the key features of Seth Grahame-Smith?s 2009 smash-hit mash-up combining Jane Austen?s masterpiece Pride and Prejudice with his own scenes of ?ultraviolent zombie mayhem.? Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was a remarkably clever and downright funny little book; the next step on the road to success, obviously, is a graphic novel adaptation. In elegant black-and-white drawings, Elizabeth Bennett and her sisters attend country dances, decapitate the undead, flirt with distinguished gentleman, and master both the deadly and the feminine arts. Elizabeth spars with Mr. Darcy; Mr. Darcy spars with zombies; the reader is rewarded with lots of guts and gore. And those guts and gore are illustrated in as much loving detail as the 18th century-period frocks and top hats. Elizabeth is clever and lovely, Mr. Darcy is dark and dashing, and the zombies are practically eating their way through panels and pages. All in all, the graphic Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is every bit as much fun as its premise would lead you to believe.
