Geoff Johns updates the origin of Hal Jordan as Green Lantern adding to it in order to remain congruent with the universe he has built around the resurrected Hal Jordan over the past several years. This trade paperback collects Green Lantern issues #29 - #35.

Geoff Johns hits this re-telling of Superman's origin out of the park! Much of it did not make it into the New 52 continuity but it is still greatly enjoyable as a stand-alone read.

I am reading this book because this year is the 75th anniversary of Superman and looking forward to the upcoming film. I love the artwork and the tribute to the late Christopher Reeve.

I like the Man of Steel mini-series from 1986, this is also a good reinterpetation and better.

This is the definite telling of Green Lantern. What makes it different is that Geoff Johns puts all the pieces out there which eventually comes together.

This is also about Hal Jordan and his journey from a broken man who had lost his father at an early age to the greatest Green Lantern.

A million times better than that terrible movie.

Hal Jordan is the best Green Lantern. It is all about his story. I personal like his story the most, other green lanters are not that intersted. Alot of Green Lanters are afraid, but they refuse to admit it Hal Jordan is the best one because he is the only one willing to face fear even he is afraid.

The art was fantastic, the stories were to short, right when they were pulling you in it would just end. would recommend. Spuriously anti-government.

An essential read for any fan of Green Lantern or anybody trying to get into Hal Jordan's modern era. Johns not only recreates GL's origin in an interesting way but also adds a great deal of depth to the Green Lantern mythos.
