This book was amazing! It was a sad story, but the moral was great. It shows how when times are tough, all you need to do is keep your head up and just hope for the best! I could not put this book down, some parts even made me tear up! I Totally give this book 5/5 stars!

Intresting story, but not evoking to change something.

Good book. The cover may not look super exciting, but it's actually a good book. A very intersting story, too. I liked it.

Interesting topic. It helps that the author has a personal connection to Charlie's story. While this is true, I found that this story went on a little too long. I would also have liked to see a few more pictures from the time.

Good Book. More about history. It's about an English immigrant in the 20th century coming to canada as a young boy

This book was good but not great. I found some parts of the book way too repetitive.

a piece of Canadian past that is, by today's standards, shocking. A Red Maple Award selection.
