For the four stories, loosely tied together, some are better than the others. This 2008 film is a decent Canadian production and enjoyable to watch. Good acting by all.

the vacant kid is pretty weak as a unifying device; he only plays a role in one of the stories, but otherwise the acting is solid. The homeless guys are particularly convincing. It's a bit uneven, with the first story very forgettable, but the other ones are very well done. Funny, quirky and touching.

I highly recommend this for anybody who has ever live in or near the Toronto area. Fantastic cinematography and really interesting stories. Many of the characters reminded me of library customers! Great movie.

Beautifully filmed: the cinematography is one of the highlights of this film.
