At a prison in the high desert foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, hardened criminals are taught the training methods of 'horse whisperers' and given 90 days to tame wild mustangs taken from the herd that roams government lands. Failure means one more defeat for the inmate; success could save both lives. Most of the inmates who volunteer for this unique rehabilitation program have never ridden a horse before, let alone trained a wild one. The Wild Horse Redemption follows the men and mustangs of the Wild Horse Inmate Program through one training cycle.

The only drawback is that the music is a bit overdramatic in places and that you have to read frequently where they should have had a narrator. If you look away, you may miss important details. Otherwise, it is a very interesting program about prisoners who train wild mustangs. You don't see it from when the horse arrives, but further along in the process. For anyone interested in animal psychology or a passion for horses, this will appeal.

very interesting documentary about a prison program and its affect on both the prisoners and the horses. made by a well-known Canadian documentarian.
