This lavishly illustrated volume looks at the weekly food eaten by 25 families in 21 countries. Each section shows a photo of the family with its weekly supply which is detailed into food groups with amounts and name brands. The cost of the food is given in both local currency and U.S. dollars. The text describes the family's lifestyle with additional photos and a few facts about the country. A few recipes are also shared as well as various graphs and charts. A good representation of diets across the globe...

I feel like it's successor, "What I Eat", was better, but this is still a good and important read.

Have you ever wondered about what people in Norway or Mongolia eat for breakfast? Do they drink coffee like you do, do they ever have eggs for breakfast? Read this magnificent book with gorgeous illustrations to learn more about other people's food traditions.
