Dreamspeaker is the 36-foot sailboat that the Yeadon-Jones couple uses to travel the coast of western Canada, and their books describe the various cruises they have taken, along with color photographs and hand-drawn maps for the benefit of other sailors. In this volume, they cover sites on the ocean-facing side of the long island separated from the US by the Juan De Fuca Strait. They include Quatsino Sound, Brooks Peninsula, Esperanza Inlet, Broken Group, and even Port Angeles in Washington State. In addition to pointing out the features and services, they explain what navigational chart to use, the approach, where to anchor, public wharves, marinas, and dangers to avoid at certain times and under certain conditions.
