Enjoyed the dramatic presentation, but wished that I had read the novel beforehand, as there is only so much that can be transmitted in a film. I will go on to read it. The acting was fine and, in the British or foreign film tradition, the sex was natural and realistic. It was actually pretty sexy in parts. My wife and I watched this in two nights as it is fairly long (but not too long). The characters were convincing, the scenery wonderful at times, and the overall film was satisfying.
