Four friends, one pair of magical pants. Put on your favorite pair of jeans, and come along on this ride with the traveling pants. This young adult fiction is packed with adventure and romance. This sequel is definitely the best addition to the series as the girls encounter heartbreak, mood swings, and shocking twists, they learn the importance of friendship. This summer the girls are separated, Tibby flies out to film school in Virginia, Bee flies out to her Grandma in Alabama, while Carmen stays home in Maryland and gets into some serious trouble, Lena goes to Greece.. and discovers Kostos big secret he has hidden from her...You have to read the book to know the rest and trust me you want to know the rest. As you are reading this story, you feel as if you are reconnecting with old friends. The novels balance between realism and idealism is perfect. Brashares, unique way of dividing each chapter with a quote helps with the understanding of emotions. This book is full of surprises, that makes the story so intriguing. Reading this book is like riding down a love stream, you fly through the 300 pages without even realizing, and still wanting more. Brashares known skills of carefully painting each character with a lovable and relatable personality definitely shine's through this novel. The connection that is felt between each character is very compassionate. The Sisterhood is welcoming you, now go grab yourself a copy, and see ya next summer!

This book was great. I read it in about a one and a half hour period. It was really hard to put down, especially after I read the first book and wanted to know what happened to all the characters. My favourite parts of this book were in Alabama with Bee. At the end of the book, I also enjoyed Tibby and Lena's bits, too. The figure of Carmen wasn't very well written in this book, though, so much as in the last. All she did was wander around and go on double dates, therefore wrecking her relationship with Porter ( not that I ever liked him anyways.) Even if the parts with Carmen aren't that great, I still loved this book, but I reccomend that you read the first book (The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants) before you pick up this one.

These are great books for teenage girls - strong role models, storylines they can relate to, and the only supernatural element is a pair of magic jeans!

This second installment in the series showed the girls growing up and maturing throughout the second summer of the pants. The best parts of the book were the ones that focused on Bee's growth and her relationship with her grandmother.

I loved this book, because it was about friendship. Not only do I recommend people to read this book, but all four of them. Especially the fourth one, because it really shows how much friends can do for each other, and how much they care for the "traveling Pants".
