Just finished this book... definitely one of S.E. Hinton's best!

This is one of my favorite books by S.E. Hinton. I don’t know how many times I read this as a teen, but it was more than a handful. There’s plenty of excitement in this story about two teenage brothers trying to live together on their own without any adults around. Did you know that two minor characters in this story are major characters in That Was Then This is Now?

I love this book as much as The Outsiders. S.E. Hinton is an amzing author. It's an exciting and very touching novel about two brothers struggling without much help from their father. Parts of it made me cry while others made me laugh. I love rereading it.

I never realized that this could be read as a followup to That Was Then, This Is Now when I read the books when I was younger.
