Interesting take on a dog's purpose with the twist that connected all the dogs we have shared our own lives into one, though with different personalities, sizes, breed and pecking order in their owner's family. And yes, like…

This is a movie for true dog lover's. Not a dry eye through this film. Josh Gad is superb as the voice of Bailey, Ethan's dog, who lives through various incarnations. His purpose? To teach us to love. How can you not love that? The sequel,…

This was an ok movie, not as great as I've heard. The dog narrating was kind of silly and the only part I really liked was the part with the Corgi. Dennis Quaid was ok and I liked the music but that was about it.

Not a bad "family" movie told from a canine's perspective. But if you really want to see a terrific Lasse Hallstrom movie then take in My Life as a Dog. His best movie by far. A classic on the Criterion Collection.

It is a very good movie about dogs and their view toward their life. The main dog character Bailey goes through a few "lives" and finally unites with the original owner. The movie is quite cheerful to me, not a tearjerker as some people…

Interested in watching a dog die multiple times in two hours? Love doggy snuff films? Heck, hate dogs and want to watch them die? This movie is for you!

I have never cried so much during a movie! This movie was truly beautiful, but I found it very sad at the same time! I cried every time Bailey (the dog) died and reincarnated as another dog. Bailey is a dog who goes through at least four…

A Dog's Purpose was such a sweet and heart touching movie which tells the tale of a dog and how he views life and its purpose. It was sweet and beautiful and I would watch it again and again. Loved it.

So, if the dog had lived two weeks in pain and died, would that be divine justice? Of course not. Same for people, right? Purgatory fixes it all up, right? Uhm, wait, what about all the learning that more life experience would provide,…

Four different dog lives are portrayed by one dog's apparent experience in being reborn. There are some touching moments, and then some that are a bit maudlin.

While there are significant differences between the movie and book, they are all perfectly replaced. The book is better, but only because it is several hours longer to read, so it covers more ground, and more in-depth. But what both cover,…

A dog movie that makes you cry *happy* tears.
The movie version changed and simplified a few things from the book (which I also strongly recommend), including changing the ending a little bit, but it stays true to the heart of the novel.…

I am huge dog and animal lover. I checked this out but almost returned it without watching because I read some reviews that said it was a tearjerker in a sad way. I kept putting off, honestly not knowing if I could handle seeing a dog die,…

I dont think they knew the audience they were going for...its too traumatic for those under 10 and not quite adult enough...the actor who voices the dog is terrible...barely any emotion and not a strong voice...yes it pulls at the…
