very very dark, I couldn't finish it because of it explicitly, but if you can handle it then I would recommend it. Lots of suspense.

Not interest in violence on women or anyone else. Some of her other novels are okay. So, on to the next one.

Another gruesome story by this author. Skipped through some of the worst parts just to see how the characters ended up. Guess someone has to write about this stuff as it does happen.

Very very dark, a tough read, but very good and went fast. If you can handle stories about rape, I would recommend.

There was a plot point that wasn't my personal flavor, and out of Stevens's other works this isn't her strongest thriller.

This book should come with a trigger warning: rape. Although, it did keep my attention the entire time. I read it really quickly, and thought, though dark, a good book

There's a lot of rape in this book. It's gratuitous, makes me think that the author is just a straight up nasty person. Don't read this garbage.

A book you don't want to out down. However it's a disturbing read from the start to the end.

Not really a mystery but more of a dark drama. This book was very engrossing and equally disturbing. It had me crying near the end.

This book had some thrills and suspense, some likable people and some despicable people, and a reasonably fast moving plot. But my blood pressure just about skyrocketed every time Fictional RCMP officer Sargent McPhail made an appearance.…

A dark, stupid book about stupid people making stupid choices, birthing stupid people making stupid choices, birthing stupid people making stupid choices . . .

I picked up this book based on a recommendation on The Next Chapter with Shelagh Rodgers and was not impressed. The writing is mediocre and characters are weak. The women in this book are walking victims; it's like watching a horror movie…

Eh, skim-able. Author was a little over the top with this story. One story quickly developed into a second.. then a third. Perhaps too much for one book but too little for a trilogy. Just.. too much.
