PERSONALLY I could not get into this book. Appears many others found it quite good. So maybe it's just me.

Tantalizing and gripping in the way the author moves the story.

Great suspenseful murder mystery. Lots of things happening. I listened to the book. It kept my attention even though I was at work. Well worth my time!

Linwood Barclay is such a wonderful writer, so easy to read, yet he holds you in suspense to the end. Get ready for some real surprises. The story is mainly told through the eyes of Ray Kilbride, an editorial cartoonist, whose father has…

*** 1/2 stars. By chance this year I have read three books by this author, who is new to me. This one is by far the best of the three. Thomas Kilbride is a map-obsessed schizophrenic so affected that he rarely leaves the safety of his…

Another great ride with Linwood Barclay - twist after twist, right to the last page. Also poignant on the challenges of caring for a fragile sibling once your parents are gone and there's no one else to look after someone who will never…

I happened upon Linwood Barclay one day and have remained forever grateful. I have read all of his books. I absolutely love how Barclay weaves pieces of his own life's experiences into all his novels~even if it's just a physical setting.…

Another excellent thriller by one of the masters. Barclay is in the class of Harlan Coben, Joseph Finder, John Verdon and a few always compelling others. A fast enjoyable read, a complex plot somehow made perfectly believable, and a…

I think one reason Linwood Barclay's books are so successful is that his characters are ordinary people, people like you and me. The things that happen to them, while threatening and sometimes fatal, are things that could happen to anyone.…

Marilyn Stasio (N.Y. Times) called this a wicked good read. Couldn't have said it better myself. Go for it.
