If you enjoy rolling your eyes, I recommend this tiresome and weirdly cast feature.
I was pleasantly surprised watching this film. The depths of this kind of story are not often spoken about. But they took the notion of our stories and past being who we are and wove these into the modern day chaos of urban multicultural society and love. It was very funny and pointed and didn't hold anything back. A strong comment of French society and modern societies which are still deeply affected by historical events from the last century. From personal experience with this kind of a narrative in my own family I would say they did a good job.
....or what happens when you take slogan "make love, not war" quite literally. This movie is mix of everything: comedy, romance, political and has a few bold scenes. Actress Sara Forestier is very good playing as Baya, spirited, naive and energetic political activist. You can see her in other movie “ Primaire” in more conservative role fighting for social justice again.
Lightweight, far-fetched romantic-comedy; spent way too long on setting up the premise.
a delightful french farce that is great for a quiet nights viewing without taxing the gray matter too much. If you like foreign movies this worth a look.
Really nice French romantic comedy that also speaks to accepting your heritage. Enjoyed all the leads.
