What I like about this book is that the author Rick Riordan does a good job of recapping little hints and details of the first book (The Red Pyramid). I also like how Riordan adds in some humor, especially when the world is almost going to end. Riordan also does an extraordinary job writing the book; instead of most novel books that usually possess an essay-like structure, I like how Riordan writes the entire book with characters “recording” their entire story from beginning to end. Riordan also makes the vocabulary and the story easy to understand and is age-appropriate.
Riordan also puts lots of historical notes and action in this book. I enjoy history, so that’s what I loved about this book. But even if you don’t really like history too much, then that is okay. It’s okay because most of the history goes on with the plot of the book anyway, and besides, you have lots of action in The Throne of Fire. The action is really thrilling, and I like to keep myself thrilled. To me, the action is what keeps the plot more fun, interesting, and makes readers want to continue reading the book. These are my thoughts on the book and overall I enjoy this book because of all its action, adventure, mythology, humor, and the structure and tone of the book.
This book is an amazing continuation of the series. Don't wait. Read it now.
I loved this book because it had times like when set god of evil stopped Vlad from chasing Carter and Sadie and there were times were the story got super sad like the time that the moon god took Bes the dwarf god's soul.
Rick Riordan is one of my favorite authors and I have read all of his book that have come out, and I’m looking forward to the books coming out in 2019. Not one of my favorite books but still a good and intense book.
Felt a little long-winded for me. The Riordan magic finally comes in when Ra comes into the picture, and then it falls into long-winded for me again... It is a good title; it just didn't quite deliver what delights me about reading this author. I am looking forward to the last book in the series.
"The Throne of Fire" was a little disappointing as it isn't quite as good as the first book "The Red Pyramid", but I still enjoyed it. Anyone interested in Ancient Egyptian mythology would love this book because of its link to the present. One thing I liked about this book is that there isn't a long droning list of characters like some of the other books I have read. Although this isn't my favourite book I would still recommend this book to readers looking for a compelling story this summer.
The 1st is The Red Pyramid, and the 2nd is The Throne Of Fire, and the 3rd is The Serpent's Shadow.
I actually got to own my own copy of this book, and the comic version of this too! I found this book to be very intriguing, as I think any reader who likes Egyptian mythology would. The characters are all so alive and present, unlike in other reds that lists of characters just drone on and on endlessly. My favourite character would probably be Bast, the cat goddess. That is simply because I like cats. But a lot of mystery, adventure, and drama is for sure promised within these covers of a modern day scroll!! 5/5 Stars.

The first one in the series is The Throne of Fire. Sooooo good. Both of them!
I cant tell you people how much I adore this book. I've read it once, and (I am honestly not exaggerating here) I have listened to the audiobook 20+ times over the past two years. much better than the Percy Jackson series in my opinion.
Wow!!!!!!!! This book is great! I hadn't read the first book so I was really surprised I picked up the story. Rick Riordan is such a good author. If you like this book you should so read Percy Jackson.
I thought that this book was really great- it captured my attention, kept me hooked, and kept a fast-paced adventure. There were a lot of new characters, some of which I think could've been better introduced (the new initiates), and the whole "open-the-book-with-the-Doomsday-deadline" thing was a little cliche. I mean, practically the first paragraph was like "We have only 5 days until the world ends" was a little much, but besides that, it was a really good, relaxing read
This was a great book and made me itch for excitement of the next book! I love books where there is adventure and learning, so if you like those kinds of books make sure you check out the first book The Red Pyramid.
